Ahmet Arslan commented on CONNECTORS-497:
-----------------------------------------

bq. Are you saying that ID, IKFAQAnswer, IKFAQCategory, IKFAQPage, and
IKFAQPageID are all list members that you do not want to include?
ID, IKFAQAnswer, IKFAQCategory, IKFAQPage, and IKFAQPageID are columns/fields
in the List. I want to index them. If want to select subset of all metada,
Current UI generates the following rule : "/IKGeneralFAQ include false ID,
IKFAQAnswer, IKFAQCategory, IKFAQPage, IKFAQPageID" When I use this metadata
rule, no metadata injected. Only id field along with access tokens. Even if
there is no matching metadata rule, documents are sent to solr.

On the other hand, if I manually create "/IKGeneralFAQ*" metadata rule, by
using AddText button,( checked with allMetadata=true) I can index all metadata.
In other words I cannot index subset of all metadata with current UI (MetaData
Tab).

Does that makes sense?

> Lists are similar to libraries, but without documents. We still should be
> able to index empty documents with metadata, however, or select an attribute
> to treat as the document.
