Hi David,

It's possible that due to a bug, the idle Solr connections are not being 
released.  What *should* happen is that if they are idle for a while, the 
resources get freed and the connection goes into a dormant state, but for the 
revised Solr connector I don't think that is happening.  So your connection 
counts might be off.  See CONNECTORS-614.

I should have a fix for that ticket later today.  It would be good to know 
whether it helps your problem or not.
