Hi Konrad,
The Solr 5.x plugin needs to work for all 5.x releases of Solr. So I think we
really can't support this functionality until Solr 6.x. I don't think this
will be too problematic since it is a new feature and since 6.0 is about to be
released (and then 5.x essentially just goes into maintenance).
So I suggest (a) a formal switch, and (b) plugin code based on Solr 6 not Solr
5. I will be creating a new plugin for 6 when time permits.
