Hi
I was looking through Google's Base offering (http://base.google.com/)
and was thinking that this would be a good way of recruiting volunteers
for specific tasks. Instead of how it is now where there is no central
point for volunteers to look for tasks relating to FOSS projects, a
common Google Base database type can be created for FOSS tasks.
If other FOSS projects can be convinced to use such a similar system it
could provide an easy clearing point for people willing to help, even
across FOSS projects.
We can leverage Google's offering of a free service to help increase
the number of volunteers that we can get, and by using a common service
with other FOSS projects it can only benefit us all.
