I think that download is the "first step" but again I could see other
ways like actually embeed in the installer (through a more atractive
commitment). Althought again, this is free software and other parties
had distributed OOo and Thunderbird/Firefox together. Remember WOOof
or Mozoo http://mozoo.org/wikicms.php

The question is that if we didn't had collabnet stalled technology we
could come out with online activities that foster to both OOo and
Thunderbird.

Example, have a checkbox or java applet to download both product
through 1 click distribution. Or a special integration extension that
improves integration between OOo and Thunderbird (pre-set email client
to thunderbird, other innovation).
