But your logo modified the position of the gulls and doesn't keep the
rounded dots of the original logo. Even if the color can be corrected, I
don't think that this logo can get approval to be used in public.

This is not a logo, but an artwork, the logo is not required to be in here 
except maybe the footer of the image for legal reasoning. Plus it doesnt make 
sense to do a new logo if you are not able to modify the original logo (we are 
already modifying the logo by adding things). In all cases the request didn't 
had any requirements or restrictions when requested so it shouldn't really have 
any problems now to be used.
