Since this is a public file, assume non-committers will read it, so perhaps
mention the option of anonymous logins (and patch generation) via the CMS UI.

That page is probably out of date?  http://www.apache.org/dev/cmsref is the
canonical one.  (as well as /cms and /cmsadoption)

If it's not clear: "LDAP creds" are the svn username+password.  (Some people
use key-based logins to people.a.o)
