Yeah. But, as reported, the bootstrap fails then with the touchstone stuff. While this is expected and seems to be the reason for bootstrapping offline, an one-time online bootstrap process will definately load all the dependent jars into the local repo although the build of Maven itself fails afterwards. Nevertheless boostrapping Maven then in offline mode, does not produce any errors because of missing dependencies, but still produce the reported errors for the missing Jelly tag libs and any build with the new Maven results in this IncompatibleClassChangeError (also reported by dIon in another thread). So while I was able to find a wortaround for the online/offline problem, I still do not have a working Maven from CVS in the 1.0-branch.
