I've put the code together to enable transitive dependencies. It works as far as I am concerned (i.e. for my needs) but it will probably have to be tweaked to capture use case details not important to me. I've actually patched it on top of a couple of other patches (issues 1068 and 1069) onto the 1_0-RC1 and 1_1 branches. I didn't bother with the 1_0-BRANCH as there seemed to be too much going on there.
I will submit the patch just as soon as I can work out how to exclude the other patches from the diff or do I need to do that (showing my newbie colours there :P)?
