True, but it seems to me that many plugins will eventually want to provide one or more templates for users. I see the genapp plugin as the place for the application template functionality, while actual templates would reside other places and be maintained by domain experts.

Genapp generates a sample application. If the template is used for generating a sample ejb application then it is in the right place IMO.
EJB plugin should be for working with building ejb projects (which is basically what it does) and shouldn't be used to get an example of what an ejb project looks like.
BTW.. if you think about it.. alot of the plugins seems to be named in a way suggestive of WAY more than what they actually do ;)

Just by 2 cents.

Hi,

I noticed that an ejb template was added to the genapp plugin recently. It seems to me it makes more sense for the ejb plugin to provide that template, but I haven't gone back into the guts of genapp recently to see what that would entail. Thoughts?
