Folks,
I have ported approx. 50 non-invasive issues back to maven-3.8.x branch
and it is in a very good shape.
There are only two issues open (one blocker):

* https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MNG-7034
(https://github.com/apache/maven/pull/484)
I kindly asked gnodet@ for help to resolve them.
Do you see any other issues either from 4.0.0-alpha-1 or others which
need to be addressed in 3.8.2?
