Well, I would agree with you.  But each time a release is burnt, it seems
this questions comes up again with no consensus.
IIRC, the argument was that disturbance would be easier to manage than the
one that could be caused by compiling from a non released and wrong tag.
But I very rarely compile from tags, so I have some doubts about the number
of people that actually do that...
