Hej Gary I agree, and TBH i moved MNG-8030 to "new feature", originally it was improvement (and now would move it back).
The -itr OTOH is "new feature" as in it makes really simple to ignore "remote repositories introduced by transitive POMs" but you could achieve similar effect with already existing features as well (but not so simple).
