Hi Erik,
I'm spending quite some time on watching dependabot dependency PR to
keep technical debt on this area as low as possible, PR420 was one of
them. I'm then not that deep into the BCE, but can try to do a review
after /during the holidays. I re-requested reviews from Oliver and
Elliote thought. In general it's a good idea to adress such requests to
the dev list (added it in CC), if you have the feeling a PR is well
formed, maybe reviewed by non Maven-team person (like you) and might has
a high chance to get merged.
But also keep in mind that merging a single PR does not automatically
means that there will be a release. These are two different steps :)

would be nice if maven build cache `mvn clean compile` could work with
multi modular projects. That would also increase the trust from
colleagues to use maven build cache in projects.
The review comments have been resolved and the build succes Are there
still things left that need to be discussed or changed before this
pull request can get approved?
It would be nice if this pull request could make some progress.
