I built the staged source release and ran the build and ITs against the
Maven Archiver 4.0.0-beta-6 staging repository, which is being voted in
parallel.
What I checked:
- source-release.zip sha512 matches the vote mail
- JDK 17 (Temurin), Maven 4.0.0-rc-7, isolated local repository
- mvn clean install -Prun-its: BUILD SUCCESS
- 16 unit tests, 0 failures
- integration tests (invoker): 44 passed, 0 failed, 1 skipped
- confirmed maven-archiver:4.0.0-beta-6 was resolved from the archiver
staging repository (maven-2488), not from Central
One note for other reviewers, since the two releases are voted in parallel:
this plugin depends on maven-archiver 4.0.0-beta-6, which is itself still in
vote and not yet in Central. To verify this release locally you need BOTH
staging repositories in an active profile in your settings.xml (as
<repository> and <pluginRepository>):
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/maven-2489/ (plugin)
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/maven-2488/ (archiver)
A build against Central alone fails with "Could not resolve
org.apache.maven.shared:maven-archiver:4.0.0-beta-6". The two votes are
effectively coupled: if Archiver 4.0.0-beta-6 does not pass, this one can't
be released as-is.
