BTW: I would also expect this functionality to be available as
"plugin:deploy"
just like "jar:deploy" and so on...

As this is not the first time something is not documented on the plugins page, I would
also tend to try to establish a certain best practice or process to ensure that this
can not happen.
After all, the maven project is about easy building and deploying...
