Various plugins do this using maven:addPath. for an example look at the antlr plugin's
plugin.jelly.

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: MPJAVA-21
Summary: Unable to add something to java:compile classpath
Type: Wish
Status: Open
Priority: Minor
Original Estimate: Unknown
Time Spent: Unknown
Remaining: Unknown
Project: maven-java-plugin
Assignee: Jason van Zyl
Reporter: Stepan Koltsov
Created: Thu, 24 Jun 2004 1:23 PM
Updated: Thu, 24 Jun 2004 6:37 PM
Description:
It is not possible to add anything to classpath used in java:compile in javac task.
Its could be generated libraries (using XMLBeans for example) or other libraries
stored somewhere in "lib/" (we store some libraries in CVS, they are placed there).
As workaround it's possible to edit maven.dependency.path, but that is dirty.
Thanks.
