        Key: MPJAVADOC-39
Summary: Need option to turn off Copyright notice
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Open
   Priority: Critical

 Original Estimate: Unknown

    Project: maven-javadoc-plugin
   Versions:

    Updated: Fri, 13 Aug 2004 2:53 PM
Environment: All platforms

Description:
The maven javadoc plugin automatically puts a copyright notice at the bottom of each
javadoc page. THis is inappropriate for works which are released into the public
domain. All works of the US Government are ineligible for Copyright and it's illegal
to place such a notice in the file. (http://www.gpoaccess.gov/uscode ; enter 17USC105
in the search box.)

There needs to be some way to specify that the API doesn't have a copyright.
