       Body:
I've spent some more time on the issue, and it looks like the JVM is dumping
during code in org.apache.maven.fileToCheck, probably under the check() method.

This issue probably doesn't belong specifically here under the site plugin
because:

#1) It's more of a JVM issue than a code issue... If I were running it on Linux
or had better control of my native stack, I probably wouldn't see the error.

#2) The issue is with the linkcheck plugin, not specifically with site.

As such, I'm going to close the issue, if I can.

Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: MPSITE-20
Summary: Stack Overflow During Multiproject site:generate
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Minor

 Original Estimate: Unknown
 Time Spent: Unknown
  Remaining: Unknown

    Project: maven-site-plugin
 Components:
             plugin

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Alan Stoll

    Created: Mon, 13 Dec 2004 12:30 PM
    Updated: Mon, 13 Dec 2004 4:15 PM
Environment: Dual Processor Xeon (2 GHZ/1.6 GHZ), 1024 MB Memory, WinXP

Description:
During a reactor-based site:generate for a project with 4 subprojects, maven
generates a stack overflow while validating javadocs for the aggregated site.

I have attempted resolution by manipulating the thread stack size. Tried sizes
were 512k,1m,2m,4m,8m.

I can supply core files on-demand via e-mail.
