To automatically install the plugin, type the following on a single line:
maven plugin:download -Dmaven.repo.remote=http://www.ibiblio.org/maven -DgroupId=maven -DartifactId=maven-site-plugin -Dversion=1.6 (it may take up to 4 hours for it to appear on this mirror).
