I'm glad to see this bug has been scheduled for fixing for 1.1-beta2.
Thanks for taking the time to fix.
However, I'd quite like to get something working in the meantime. Would
anyone be able to suggest a temporary work around?

Would seem to be due to incorrect class loader. Any temporary workarounds for
this issue will be most gratefully received.
