Actually my problem with this plugin is already documented at :

but I created a new (duplicate) issue because the original one dates from
August 2004.
To summarize :
- is maven.jar.manifest.classpath.add really needed?
- make jar plugin behaviour similar to e.g. ejb plugin behaviour
