I personally don't like the 'drop the vowels' choice. Unix is cluttered
enough with abbreviated commands as is, and the letters being close to
each other doesn't necessarily mean they're typed faster.

I personally would like the executable to be named 'maven', or 'maven2',
and keep m2 for backwards compatibility for a while. (I'll probably add an
alias m2 maven2 :))
