Bart Selders commented on MNG-678:
----------------------------------

Vincent, In our case the repository host was failing to execute proper lookups.
I just looked at beaver.codehaus.org and it is also failing lookups on its
primary DNS server. So that I think the reason for you current problem!
Beaver.codehaus.org DNS is not working properly.

its /etc/resolv.conf contains:

nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver 199.212.134.1
nameserver 199.212.134.2
nameserver 64.7.153.49
nameserver 63.246.20.110

and when I try to use beaver to do lookups it won't anser.

> Some of the time, deploying artifacts fails during the scp transfer. The
> bottom of the stack trace is reproduced below. If I run the m2 deploy enough
> times, it succeeds; not sure why.
> This is not an unknown issue with Jsch; apparently client code can cause
> behavior like this if it doesn't dispose of connections properly. Possibly a
> plugin that's runs before the deploy phase is messing up the connection state
> somehow?
