So, summing up:
- the model converter has already found its space in maven components
thanks to Brett
- the converter mojo could fit in the maven-one-plugin already in
sandbox, and so no new plugin is needed. We will vote it out of
sandbox when it will be ready for a release.

I haven't checked out the new converter component accurately (I see
it's a lot better than the one I took from repository tools some time
ago) but yes, I would like to have access to that module if I need to
improve it or to add stuff needed by the plugin. Any way to get access
to that module?
I'll commit the converter mojo in the maven-one-plugin in sandbox (do
plugin developers have commit rights to sandbox too?)
