Eugene has some indexing code that we can take out of the Eclipse plugin

I've looked. It'll be a starting point, but doesn't index all the
information we need and is JAR only I think.

No, but easy enough add and there are three things that I'm looking for short term which I would like to add:

POMs (for existing project setup)
Archetypes (for new project setup)
JARs (for existing projects that need converting)
Plugins (for plugin metadata)

The work on the eclipse plugin is starting up again so Eugene, Dmitr and myself can certainly help with that code.

and we might want to talk to Ben about integrating the acutal
Maven-Proxy code into the repository manager.

Yep, between maven-proxy and proximity we should have enough to
incorporate there. I'll ping Ben when that part kicks off.

I already talked to him and he's fine with us bring the code into the repository manager.

I also have the client/server setup for submitting bundles. The client
side is in Java but the server side is in Ruby, but that could easily be
flipped over. It's just a simple xmlrpc server. It would probably make
more sense to put this in the repository manger. I can sync up with you
IRC.

I didn't realise that, cool. We can probably put the same xmlrpc
interface on the repository manager.

Sure, or a subset.

Our achievements speak for themselves. What we have to keep track
of are our failures, discouragements and doubts. We tend to forget
the past difficulties, the many false starts, and the painful
groping. We see our past achievements as the end result of a
clean forward thrust, and our present difficulties as
signs of decline and decay.
