Dan Tran commented on MASSEMBLY-18: ----------------------------------- after looking further into the code, filename mapping strips off the classifier when adding file to the archive. so if you have 2 dependencies with the same groupid, artifactid, version. One with a classicifier specified. Only one of those artifacts will be added to the final archive. > Assembly plugin does'nt use classifier for dependencies > ------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: MASSEMBLY-18 > URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MASSEMBLY-18 > Project: Maven 2.x Assembly Plugin > Type: Bug > Reporter: Thor Åge Eldby > > > I'm trying to get the assembly plugin to package down some dependent jars I > have. One of the jars are resolved with use of classifier (like this): > <dependency> > <groupId>no.vegvesen.fk</groupId> > <artifactId>base</artifactId> > <version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version> > <classifier>bundle</classifier> > </dependency> > In the assembly however I end up with the jar-file without classifier. Is > this a bug or is there something I have overlooked? > I saw a similar request at http://java2.5341.com/msg/127059.html, but I was > unable to find an actual jira for it. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
