The properties element is not supposed to be used like that, you can only
specify simple properties (no nested elements) like this:
<properties>
<propertyA>pomPropertyA</propertyA>
</properties>
A custom jelly script can then access this property like:
${pom.getProperties().getProperty('propertyA')}
