I tried that also before, but it has no effect on the output synchronization (and I want to use my instance of the bean in more than one goal). Are you really sure, that *your* output is written synchronized to the console? ;-) I also tried to find the snippet in the Maven code, where the ouptut of the Ant different tags is generated, but I failed so far. Maybe this would give more insight in the appropriate usage.
