We have trunk (2.1-SNAPSHOT), and maven-2.0.x (2.0.7-SNAPSHOT).
I don't grok the API discussions much, but I'm +1 on avoiding
filename
changes when you have two active branches AND you are planning to
merge them.
Well, we've already collapsed whole modules, so I wouldn't say it's
a showstopper - but I agree it's something that needs to be taken
into consideration so that choices are made more carefully.
I didn't change any package names, and I can still easily patch as
demonstrated over the last week.
