I like the idea of a work in progress section in here. I've been wanting
to communicate in some way what I'm working on, but haven't found a good
way to do it.
We previously had two options to do this:
1. JIRA, for individual issues
2. Our release calendar, for the release dates
For me, who do this in my spare time, neither of these really work.
1. doesn't work because it gets lost in there. Users don't do a custom
filter in JIRA to see what (Maven) issues are being worked on. We could
supply this for them, but it is too detailed. It also requires us all to
be consistent in using the appropriate flags and fields in JIRA.
2. doesn't work either, because I don't know ahead when I will be able
to finish a release. There are two reasons for this; I don't know when I
start something how much time the actual work will take and also I don't
know before hand how much time I will be able to spend, because of day
job, family and other commitments.
So I'd love a place where I can just put "Dennis is working towards a
2.1 release of maven-idea-plugin". Also, I think that this (low) level
of detail will appeal to our users.

Hi,
I've tried to make it easy to see what's going on by looking here:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAVEN/Home
- Design documents
- Work in Progress
- Development Process (there because it's in flux)
- Taxonomy (or structure of our information, and much is linked off
there right now)
- Release Schedule
- Recent Releases
Kenney has already suggest to put the design queue or "design in
progress" in full view so I will do that. Any other suggestions are
welcome and if people were responsible for any releases if they could
wire up the release notes that would be great.
Thanks,
Jason
