The only thing to be careful of is the size of the snapshots directory. Infrastructure has been complaining off and on that various groups aren't cleaning it up and it "grows and grows and grows".
I think if we had some way to cleanup older snapshots to keep the growth in check, I'd be completely +1, but without that, I have concerns.
