Hello,

I had the pleasure of attending the Maven User's group meeting last week and
meeting Shane.
I mentioned to Shane that i thought it would be useful to be able to
parameterized instantiations
(imports) of mixins. But I couldn't think of a good use case at the time.

Here is a suggestion for a use case that would benefit from the ability to
parameterize.

In this pom.xml >>

http://svn.sonatype.org/m2eclipse/trunk/org.maven.ide.eclipse.parent/pom.xml

there is a comment
" copy and paste from maven-archetype, is there a better way? "

It would seem mixins are the better way here. You would want to define the
mixin
with the variable ${maven.version} as a parameter. Then in the above pom
you'd invoke the
mixin fragment (with $maven.version becoming bound to whatever it's setting
is in importing pom's
context.)

Hope that's useful.

Thanks..

 Chris
