We are trying extremely hard to make everything accessible by
producing tons of ITs, a specification for POM construction and
builds coming off the grid at a very high frequency. I hope that
fairly soon into the alpha cycle we can attract Ralph into the mix
and soon after that more developers. My hope is that by the time
the betas rolls around we have 4-5 people who know the core as well
as Shane and I do now, and 7-8 by the time we hit GA.
I've been doing a bunch of work on commons configuration and commons
vfs these last few weeks. I should have a week or two more of that
and then I'll be happy to take a look at 3.0.
I have a pretty good idea what you're looking for. Another alpha or
two and we should have many of the regressions stamped out so from a
functional perspective not a whole lot different then 2.x but from an
architectural perspective I believe a far better place to be in if you
want to add new features and understand the code.
