I can actually see what's going on in JIRA using JIRAClient. I haven't found Mylyn very effective with the number of issues we have but JIRAClient is pretty effective. It downloads the data locally and then you can do all sorts of cool queries to help find stuff.
Makes some of the JIRA cleanup less daunting.
