This is ugly way to do it and requires mail clients to use heuristics for threading. Instead what you can do is: 1. Look at raw output of message you want to reply to 2. Find Message-ID header (in this case <4FACC6C66D4D47538E474B2C75294A99@OlegF23S>) 3. Start new message, ideally with RE: <original subject> (but not required, since threading is done by headers in this case) 4. Add a new header "In-Reply-To: <4FACC6C66D4D47538E474B2C75294A99@OlegF23S>" 5.
