_Can_ is different than _should_, I realize the best practice here is counter
to my suggestion, but I'm looking to have working links over best practices in
the short term, and what I suggested seems to me to be the easiest approach.
I'm open to simple alternatives if you have any, but I'm weary of any added
complexity in building the website from the doc files.
