Hey Niklas, It might be worth waiting a day or two to get the code around shading the protobuf dependency committed so we can point people to mesos-protobuf-0.18.1.jar in Maven central! I know this would mean 0.18.1-rc2, sorry I didn't think of this when Vinod sent out his 0.18.1 email. :(
