Hello guttikonda,

1) maybe the slf4j website was down when you tried but now it's up (anyway,
we don't have control over it)
please re-check http://www.slf4j.org/faq.html

2) mina depends on slf4j-api. Both at compile time and at runtime.
There is no alternative. But note that slf4j is exactly meant to give you
choice.
If for some (strange) reason you don't want logging in your application,
then you could use the slf4j-nop.jar
