Was looking into ExpiringMap so that I can shamelessly steal^h^h^h^hborrow it for my own evil purposes :) but found through testing that the Expirer is never triggered, since it is never started by the owning map. Should this go into a JIRA or is there any reason for this? There seems to be no way to start the Expirer from the outside, which would be odd anyway..
