Seems like a good idea, but the problem is that svn is not mirrored. I know that almost nobody check the jars, but I would hate being nailed by infra because svn is loaded by thousands of uer trying to get the KEYS file on svn.perhaps we can delete it and replace the link on the website to a link to the svn file ?
