Support for protoversion 1.99 - Section 5.1, "Old Client, New Server", RFC 4253
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: SSHD-148
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SSHD-148
Project: MINA SSHD
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 0.6.0
Environment: Java 1.6.0_27 Gentoo Linux x86_64
Reporter: David Overton
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 0.6.0
Connecting to a Cisco router in this case, which reports itself as
SSH-1.99-Cisco-2.0 as its protoversion. Further investigation reveals that 1.99
is a backwards compatibility version string which should be interpreted by 2.0
clients as exactly equivalent to SSH-2.0. Easy to work around without a patch,
but would be nice if it worked out of the box.
