is about setting "authorized host keys", which is not the server's host keys.
"Authorized host keys" are used for host-based authentication; the file
mentioned there is supposed to contain _public_ keys. The [description of
ProFTD about the server's own host keys
|http://www.proftpd.org/docs/contrib/mod_sftp.html#SFTPHostKey] states it used
different files, like the others.
I suggest to close this issue.
