Turned out it was looking for "mksquashfs.moblin" - no idea where that
comes from - the ordinary mksquashfs seems to work just fine.
Correction, it makes the image just fine - but then it won't boot
complaining that "older Squashfs 3.1 filesystems are unsupported".
the world moved to squashfs 4.0 format; which is why there is supposed
to be a mksquashfs 4 binary with mic, since not all distros have the new
mksquashfs yet...
