Could u check /dev/sd* if there is new block device generated after your USB 
disk connected? 
USB disk here you mean is USB flash stick or external USB hard disk?

when I use GIGABYTE MID M528 in moblin alpha 2 .
USB disk couldn't mount in alpha 2.
it could be something wrong with this condition.
