Try the following to clone mid-2.6.24
git://git.moblin.org/deprecated/kernel-mid-2.6.24
------Example : -----
[r...@srikant test]# git-clone
git://git.moblin.org/deprecated/kernel-mid-2.6.24
Initialized empty Git repository in /opt/kernel-mid-2.6.24/.git/
remote: Counting objects: 47478, done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (24427/24427), done.
Receiving objects: 0% (431/47478), 556.00 KiB | 70 KiB/s
