Hi,
Do you find a soluce for this problem, because I have the same one too ;(
some versions of grub manage to not parse the standard "vga=current" string on
the kernel command line.
The linux kernel has had this string for YEARS (see
Documentation/kernel-parameters.txt)..... but somehow
it confuses some editions of grub. You can replace the "current" with "0x0f04"
or so and it'll work
even with b0rkengrubs
