Hi Wang,

Thanks for your info, I added the following lines in
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/20-storage-methods.fdi, and then restart
haldaemon. But still any usb disk is auto mounted.

  <device>
    <match key="storage.hotpluggable" bool="true">
      <match key="storage.removable" bool="true">
        <merge key="storage.automount_enabled_hint" type="bool">false</merge>
      </match>
    </match>
  </device>

Regards,
Deb

It is under /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/20-storage-methods.fdi. Make
your modification here.

Subject: [Moblin Dev] Disable Auto Mounting

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to disable auto mounting the USB devices on Moblin? I
was able to disable auto mounting on Debian system by modifying HAL policy in
/etc/hal/fdi/policy/preferences.fdi, but the same thing is not working on
Moblin as there is no file preference.fdi.
Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Deb
