you can 'pin' any application to the myzone panel by clicking the little 'pushpin' icon in the application panel. There is currently no way to add a new icon to the main drop-down moblin panel. Of course, that requires that the application you have installed a proper .desktop file in appropriate localtions (either /usr/share/applications or ~/.local/share/applications).
