Greg - can blacklist override/prevent a builtin from loading? I would
think he'd have to re-compile the kernel if it's truly built-in.
If it's a module (shows up in lsmod), then yeah...

Add a blacklist entry into the btusb driver in the kernel package to
prevent it from grabbing your device.
Or, from userspace, unbind from the btusb driver, and then bind to
yours.
Why do you need to write a new bluetooth usb driver, what's wrong with
the one in the kernel today? Is it not working for you in some way
that
we should fix it?
